FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the C100 Growth Program?
C100 Growth is a growth-stage program that helps high-potential, fast-growing Canadian companies scale and compete globally. We provide promising, rapidly scaling companies the expert support and extensive network they need to achieve global success. C100 Growth is a world-class, 12-month program that combines expert-led, multi-day workshops; personalized, one-on-one mentoring; role-based peer groups for participating companies’ entire senior leadership team, as well as the backing of a broad community of funders, executives, entrepreneurs, and curated service providers who share the goal of supporting a vibrant Canadian tech ecosystem.
How is C100 Growth different from other Canadian accelerator programs?
C100 Growth is a national growth-stage program. It’s not for early-stage companies. The program is designed for a broad range of high-potential, fast-growing tech and tech-enabled companies in various industries, which are projecting a revenue run rate of $10m or more by the end of 2025.
C100 Growth is a non-residential program. Since participating companies are operating entities with customers and substantial teams, the program was developed to support growth without a residency requirement. Founders and executive teams meet regularly with mentors, virtually or in-person. In addition, the cohort meets virtually on a monthly basis and regularly gathers for in-person workshops in different technology hubs (e.g., Silicon Valley and Toronto) across North America throughout the year.
However, C100 Growth’s most important differentiator is the quality of the people involved. Our mentors, speakers, and workshop leaders are a diverse group of global scaling experts who have architected and guided the success of renowned companies, such as Apple, Shopify, Google, Adobe, Uber, LinkedIn, Facebook, and many more. Our goal is to connect the world’s leading experts, regardless of location and citizenship, with Canada’s top growth-stage companies.
What type of companies should apply?
We’re looking for Canada’s highest-potential, fast-growing technology and tech-enabled (e.g., health tech, medical device, e-commerce) scale-stage companies with leadership teams that are willing to engage deeply with their mentors and peers in the Growth Program’s cohort of companies. Participating teams should be open to receiving support, coaching, and mentorship to scale both themselves and their businesses.
How do you select companies to participate in the C100 Growth Program?
We’re looking for fast-growing, scale-ups which are projecting $10m in annual revenue/ARR in the year of their application and sufficiently capitalized–either through venture funding or cash flow–to produce growth that exceeds 50%+ YOY.
What if we don’t meet all the criteria?
We recognize that applicant companies may not meet all the suggested acceptance criteria, and growth metrics can vary by industry (e.g., companies in regulated industries often won’t have significant revenue until approval). That’s ok. If your company meets most of the criteria and you think you’re a good fit, please feel free to apply.
How much does it cost?
No fees or equity is required to participate. The program is funded through the generous support of C100 members and sponsors. However, companies are chosen through a highly selective process, and we are looking for founders and executives who will be deeply engaged and dedicated to learning and growth.
What kind of companies participate in the program?
We welcome fast-growing tech and tech-enabled companies from any field. This program is designed to support the success of high-potential companies trying to address the opportunities and challenges associated with rapid scaling.
Can you describe your application process?
The application process is easy. You only need to complete a brief, ten-minute online application form with basic information and a recent pitch deck or company overview presentation. Our team will review submissions and shortlist companies, which will then be invited to fill out a more detailed application. Finalists will be invited to meet (virtually) with the C100 Growth Selection Committee for 30 minutes, where they will be asked to present and answer questions in July 2025.
How is the C100 Growth structured?
The program features a mix of in-person and online workshops, tailored mentoring for participating company leadership teams, role-based peer groups, and access to a vibrant ecosystem of tech executives, funders, relevant and vetted service providers, operators, and entrepreneurs.
Who from my team can participate in virtual and in-person sessions?
Each participating company can customize their program to fit their needs. Mentoring is personalized and can be focused on a few senior leadership team members or used more broadly across the company’s entire executive ranks. For in-person workshops, up to three members of your company's executive team can attend. We do, however, encourage the CEO to attend each session. Workshop attendees can vary based on the session's theme or focus, which will be pre-announced well before every workshop. Role-based peer groups are open to members of the senior leadership team. Virtual sessions are open to all team members.
What should we expect from the in-person workshops?
Our in-person workshops extend over 2 days and take place in North American cities known for their vibrant tech ecosystems, such as Palo Alto/Silicon Valley and Toronto. They will generally last from Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon. These sessions include networking events to connect with your cohort and the broader C100 network in each host city. Mentors, world-class experts and speakers from our network will lead workshops, interactive sessions, and panel discussions.
Who are the mentors?
The mentors are world-class scaling experts with extensive experience in successfully leading fast-growing companies. They have been hand-selected based not only on their experience but also on their ability to engage deeply with founders and leadership teams to identify and address challenges and take advantage of growth opportunities.
How does the mentoring work?
Participating companies are allotted a generous mentoring budget that can be used through the 12-month period. The mentoring can be customized based on the needs of the company, and used for a small number of company leaders or more broadly across the leadership team. Our global mentor network is made up of seasoned entrepreneurs, industry specialists, and market leaders. Mentors can help support C100 Growth participants in all functional areas and in nearly every area of scaling imaginable.
What are the benefits of joining a role-based peer group?
The role-based peer groups are designed to serve as a personal “board of directors” for every member. Participants will be matched with peers based on functional area or role and, to some extent, location. The peer groups will provide participants with a dedicated community of leaders that serve as a trusted resource for open, honest advice and perspectives on all topics–personal and professional–while ensuring confidentiality and unwavering support within a secure environment.
